President-Elect
My name is Lincoln Alexander, Pharm.D. I was born and raised on a produce and flower farm in the Medford, Oregon area where I developed a strong work ethic. I attended OSU College of Pharmacy in Corvallis and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015. While in pharmacy school, I was highly involved extracurricularly. Some of the roles I held in pharmacy school included Executive Council Treasurer and Rho Chi President. Since graduation I have worked at Safeway pharmacy and Albertsons Companies. I currently have three roles within the company including community pharmacist, student experiential coordinator for IPPE/APPE students in all Oregon and Southwest Washington company stores, and residency program director for our newly implemented (2019) community-based PGY-1 residency program. I played an integral role in the initiation and implementation of the new experiential and residency programs in the Portland Division.
Throughout pharmacy school and continuing to now, I have been involved with Oregon State Pharmacy Association. I regularly attended all OSPA conferences in pharmacy school and served as student volunteer for the organization numerous times. Since 2017, I have served the most populous area of Oregon as the Northern Region Representative on the OSPA Board of Directors.
My consistent networking and leadership within OSPA over the past nearly ten years has prepared me to serve as president-elect. In addition, I look forward to the opportunity to grow both the organization and myself professionally and personally by taking this next leadership step.
Marc graduated from Duquesne University in 2008 with his Pharm D. He has been in community pharmacy management for the last 11 years. He is currently employed as a clinical medication therapy management pharmacist focusing on improving patient outcomes. He has served as OSPA treasurer from 2012-2014, Eastern Oregon representative from 2018-2020, on the board of directors for the Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon, the OOJLC, the APhA new business committee, and is a Royal Rosarian. In his free time Marc enjoys being outside with his family, gardening and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Portland Trailblazers.
Statement of Interest
I have been a frontline retail pharmacist for over 10 years, and I am able to relate with the struggles that retail pharmacists are currently facing.
We are approaching a monumental point in the profession of pharmacy and it is necessary to heavily lobby for pharmacy reimbursement for clinical services at the state and federal level. Pharmacists are frontline healthcare workers and most people are unaware of all the services we can provide. Through pharmacist month I will work towards increasing awareness of pharmacy services and how we contribute to healthcare. I will also focus on uniting the profession at the state level to continue lobby for pro pharmacy legislation.
As the profession changes, I will continue to help provide relevant continuing education to help retail pharmacists adapt to the new prescribing opportunities. Oregon has numerous prescribing guidelines that are going to be approved soon and I want pharmacists to hit the ground running.
I currently work as the Director of Pharmacy at Consonus Pharmacy in Milwaukie, after entering the long term care industry immediately after graduating from Oregon State in 2016. Since joining Consonus, I have found a passion in helping serve seniors across our great state and take pride in delivering pharmacy services to this population. While in the LTC field, I enjoy finding unique ways to connect with pharmacists in all practice settings; helping build the community within our profession. This passion has spilled over to OSPA – where I have served as the LTC/Consultant Director on the OSPA Board of Directors since 2017, and am currently serving as a Director-at-Large on the OSPA Executive Committee for 2020.
Statement of Interest
Having served on the OSPA Board of Directors, I have witnessed the transformation of our organization structure first hand and am truly excited to execute the organization’s vision to educate, advocate, engage, and specifically empower, those in the pharmacy profession across the state – especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This role is critical to the success of both the organization and profession; and, the next few years represent a critical time for our organization as we work with our Executive Director to navigate this new landscape. I would be honored to tackle this challenge by leading our organization, and would be committed to keeping the positive momentum our organization has worked so hard to achieve, and help create solutions to benefit our entire profession as they come.
Treasurer
I currently serve as the Coordinator for Experiential Advancement and Assistant Professor at Pacific University School of Pharmacy in Hillsboro, Oregon. I have been a practicing pharmacist for 5 years and began my career in community practice working for CVS/Target and served as a Pharmacy Manager. I’ve delivered many preceptor development seminars on topics ranging from motivation, integrating feedback, and managing struggling students, and more for pharmacy preceptors at regional and national platforms. I’m the current Treasurer of OSPA. During my tenure on the board of directors for OSPA, I’ve served as an Oregon delegate for the APhA House of Delegates. I enjoy playing basketball, golf and hiking during his leisure time.
Statement of Interest
My name is Huy Hoang and I’m nominating myself for Treasurer for Board of Directors for OSPA because I thoroughly enjoyed my time as the current Treasurer. Early on in my role, I assisted with the transition from KeyBank to Bank of America, maintain a healthy record of accurate checks and balances, chaired our financial meetings and provided transparent updates to OSPA’s board of directors on a regular basis. I’m continuing to learn and grow in my position, and hope to be able to carry on these experiences with our new Executive Director.
Director- Southern Region
I have worked in pharmacy since high school and have always had a desire and passion for the profession. I have worked primarily retail as technician, intern, pharmacy manager and pharmacy district manager. I currently hold the position of pharmacy manager at an outpatient 340B pharmacy. My career as a pharmacist has largely been leadership positions. I am passionate about diabetes education and hope to someday acquire my BC-ADM. When I am not working I am learning to enjoy running again, spending time with my husband and 3 fur babies working on our property, and being anywhere near a body of water with a good book.
Statement of Interest:
I was introduced to the position by the current Southern Region Director. I have always wanted to be be more involved in ways to help advocate for the profession as well as help create avenues for professional growth and networking for pharmacists especially in more rural areas. I see this position as an opportunity have an impact in a way I have not been able to before. I am passionate about the profession and believe I would truly enjoy an opportunity to take an active role in OSPA.

Statement of Interest
Thank you for considering my candidacy for the OSPA Board of Directors to represent the Southern Region. I am excited about the possibility of working with OSPA to advance the practice of pharmacy in the state of Oregon. Pharmacists are widely recognized as experts in drug knowledge, and are the most accessible health care professionals. As such, there are great opportunities to improve patient health and safety and promote the pharmacy profession, particularly in theses challenging times due to Covid-19. With my background as a community retail pharmacist, I appreciate the challenges that are involved with staying current with healthcare information and best practices. With managed care experience, I understand how data can be leveraged to support public health. I have been involved with local professional and non-profit organizations in southern Oregon for several years, recognizing that the best way to drive positive change can be from the local level in partnership with statewide support. Organizations such as OSPA are vital to shape the future of pharmacy in Oregon and I look forward to the opportunity to join the Board of Directors.
